WHAT ARE KELP NOODLES?Kelp noodles are made from edible kelp, a.k.a. seaweed! They have a chewy texture and are very low in calories and carbohydrates. Recipes using kelp noodles are great for low carb and keto pasta recipes. Unfortunately many people do not know how to adequately soften kelp noodles.   Kelp noodles have an incredible crunch prior to softening and feel almost wirey, however it’s 100% possible to alter their textureIngredients:1 lb Kelp or Aloe Vera NoodlesFiltered water2 tsp baking sodaDirections:Remove your kelp noodles from their package and rinse well under cool water. Place your rinsed kelp noodles in a pot and fill the pot with enough filtered water so that the noodles are almost submerged, then boil.Add 2 tsp Baking Soda to your noodle/water mixture when the water starts boiling and stir the noodles until it reaches to your desired texture. It takes about 4 minutes, but don't want to let them get too soft or they will turn into mush.Once your kelp noodles have reached an al dente texture, rinse them under running water. Be sure to rinse them well as they will keep softening if any of the previous liquid remains.
