Homemade Ranch Dressing and Dip
Prep: 15 min Servings: 8by myra byanka510 recipes>This delicious dressing and dip (e.g. crudités, chicken wings) takes some prep time, but is so much better than bottled dressing, which has, to me, and unpleasant preservative aftertaste. Ingredients
- 1 C mayo
- 1/2 C sour cream
- 1/2 C buttermilk
- 2 tsp. table salt , or to taste
- 1/4 tsp. pepper to taste
- 1/4 C minced fresh chives
- 3 T fresh, minced dill or 1 1/2 T dry
- 1 T fresh, minced parsley, or 1/2 T dry
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire
- 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice or white wine vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove, minced
- 1/4 tsp. dry thyme or 1/2 tsp. fresh
- opt: 1/4 tsp. paprika. dash Tabasco
Directions
- Mix ingredients together by hand or in the blender, and refrigerate several hours before serving.
- If making it as a dip, cut buttermilk to 1/4 C and add 1/4 C more sour cream.
- Keeps for a week in the fridge.
