Homemade Croutons
Ingredients
- Sprinkle these crispy golden brown bread cubes over soups or possibly salads.
- 2 c. cubed sourdough bread or possibly rye bread
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or possibly butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning, crushed
Directions
- Spread sourdough or possibly rye bread in a single layer in a shallow baking dish. Stir together melted margarine or possibly butter and Italian seasoning; pour over bread cubes. Bake in a 400 Degree F. oven for 5 min. Stir; bake 5 - 10 min more or possibly till crisp and brown.
- Makes 2 c. (eight 1/4 c. servings)
