    Hazelnut Pound Cake

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups flour
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 cup butter
    • 1 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/2 tsp hazelnut extract or vanilla
    • 1/2 cup nutella
    • 1/4 chopped hazelnuts

    Directions

    1. preheat oven to 350 and generously grease bottom and sides of a 9x5 loaf pan with shortening and lightly flour.
    2. In a med bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt, set aside.
    3. In a lg bowl beat butter and both sugars about 2 mins until creamy.
    4. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each egg.
    5. On low speed add mixture to sugar mixture alternately with the milk. Beating just until smooth, beat in extract and pour into pan.
    6. Bake 60 - 65 mins or til toothpick comes out clean, cover with foil during the last 30 mins of baking.
    7. Cool 15 mins and remove from pan to cooling rack, cool completely at least an hour
    8. In a small bowl microwave the nutella 20-30 seconds or till melted and stir. Drizzle over the cake and sprinkle with nuts.
