Hazelnut Pound Cake

- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp hazelnut extract or vanilla
- 1/2 cup nutella
- 1/4 chopped hazelnuts
Directions
- preheat oven to 350 and generously grease bottom and sides of a 9x5 loaf pan with shortening and lightly flour.
- In a med bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt, set aside.
- In a lg bowl beat butter and both sugars about 2 mins until creamy.
- Add one egg at a time, beating well after each egg.
- On low speed add mixture to sugar mixture alternately with the milk. Beating just until smooth, beat in extract and pour into pan.
- Bake 60 - 65 mins or til toothpick comes out clean, cover with foil during the last 30 mins of baking.
- Cool 15 mins and remove from pan to cooling rack, cool completely at least an hour
- In a small bowl microwave the nutella 20-30 seconds or till melted and stir. Drizzle over the cake and sprinkle with nuts.
