Ingredients

  • Kikkoman soy sauce
  • water
  • brown sugar
  • ginger
  • fresh garlic
  • rum

Directions

  1. To make marinade: Start with equal amounts of Kikkoman soy sauce and water. Add in brown sugar, fresh ginger and fresh garlic to taste. Add in a shot of rum and simmer, marinade for twenty min. Chill. Prepare chicken or possibly desired meats and vegetables. Add in to chilled marinade. For best results, marinade for 24 hrs, then grill.

  3. NOTES : I just stumbled across this at our local tv station's webpage....To my surprise, this marinade was demonstrated on the AM Northwest show. See, we ate at Noho's recently and the marinade/chicken was so darned good. BUT, as I recall, when I asked for the recipe the waiter looked shocked....one of those: we never give out our recipes looks. So, here we are... we got it after all! :))
