Habanero Citrus Shrimp
Ingredients
- 3 lb Large Tiger shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 4 ounce Tequilla
- 4 lrg Limes, juice only
- 1 bn Fresh cilantro*, cleaned and minced
- 1 ounce Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 x Oranges or possibly tangerines, zest only
- 2 x Dry habaneros, crushed
- 1 Tbsp. Brown sugar Citrus fruit pcs, for skewer Garlic cloves, for skewer Onion pcs, for skewer
Directions
- 1. Combine all ingredients in a non metalic bowl except shrimp - mix well.
- 2. Marinate shrimp for 1 hour (not longer of they willbecome mushy.
- 3. After marinating the shrimp, skewer with onions and cloves of garlic,chunks of oranges, limes and other citrus fruits as desired..
- 4. Barbeque quickly on warm grill till shrimp turn pink and curl slightly.
- Notes:* If you dislike cilantro, use parsely instead.
