Green Beans With Almonds And Bacon
- 4 x Rashers lean bacon, rinds removed
- 60 gm Low salt butter
- 1/2 c. Flaked almonds
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 500 gm Tender green beans, topped & tailed Freshly grnd pepper Lemon juice to taste
- Grill the bacon till crisp. Drain on paper towel and dice coarsely. Heat the butter and fry the almonds till golden brown. Add in salt to a large pot of boiling water and cook the beans till "al dente". Drain beans and combine with the bacon and almonds. Season to taste and drizzle with lemon juice.
