  • Greek Turkey Burgers (6 Points)

    Ingredients

    • 3/4 c. fat-free yogurt plain
    • 2 x cloves garlic chopped
    • 3 Tbsp. fresh mint minced
    • 3/4 tsp salt divided
    • 1/4 tsp pepper
    • 1 1/2 lb extra lean grnd turkey breast meat
    • 1/2 c. feta cheese crumbled
    • 8 x olives Kalamata, pitted and minced
    • 3 lrg pita bread cut in half whole-wheat
    • 1 lrg tomato sliced
    • 1 sm onion red, sliced

    Directions

    1. Line a sieve with a paper towel. Pour yogurt into sieve set over bowl. Let drain 30 min. In bowl combine garlic, mint and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir liquid removed yogurt into garlic mix; refrigeratetill ready to serve. Preheat grill or possibly broiler. In bowl combine turkey, cheese, olive, remaining 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper. Form into 6 patties. Grill or possibly broil till cooked through, 6-7 min, turning once. Serve burgers in pita bread with tomato, onions and yogurt sauce.
    2. Makes 6 servings.
