Greek Honey Yogurt Coffee Cake with Caramel Sauce

  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (If you already have plain yogurt on hand, place 1 1/2 cups in a paper towel in a colander over a bowl and it will thicken in several hours)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups unbleached flour
  • powdered sugar or bottled caramel sauce


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Grease the springform pan.
  3. Combine the butter and sugar, then the rest of the wet ingredients ingredients.
  4. Sift in flour, BS, BP, salt, and combine.
  5. Pour into prepared springform pan.
  6. Bake 35-40 minutes. Test with a toothpick in the center.
  7. Let cool completely, invert onto a cake platter.
  8. Sprinkle on sifted powdered sugar, or drizzle on caramel sauce.
