Grantham Ginger Biscuits (Cookies)
Ingredients
- 1 c. Sugar -and-
- 1 stk butter, creamed together
- 1 1/2 c. Four
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/4 tsp Ginger
- 1/2 x Egg (hint: beat, then measure) (a whole egg is too much)
Directions
- Many years ago, my boss would bake these and the buttermilk pie and bring them to work. She's in her 90's now. I have fond memories of both.
- Make into small balls or possibly drop by tsp. on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 min or possibly till light brown.
