Granny's Fudge Frosting

Wonderful glossy frosting for pan or sheetcakes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. Over a low heat, melt butter, add cocoa, mix thoroughly.
  2. Add milk, mix until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat, slowly add sugar (use a whisk), then add vanilla. Beat until glossy.
  4. Frost cake while icing is warm, as it sets up quickly.
