Grandmere's Nutty Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 c. Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c. unsalted butter room temperature
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. plain yogurt
- 1 x egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 1/2 c. granola
- 12 ounce semisweet chocolate chips
- 2/3 c. pecans minced
- 2/3 c. walnuts minced
- 2/3 c. almonds minced
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Using electric mixer, cream butter in large bowl till light. Add in both sugars and beat till fluffy. Beat in yogurt, egg, vanilla, and cream of tartar. Stir in flour. Fold in granola, chocolate, and nuts.
- Drop dough by rounded Tbsp. onto cookie sheets, spacing 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake till golden, about 15 min. Transfer cookies to rack and cold. (Cookies can be prepared 1 day ahead. Store in airtight container.)
