Grandma's Soft Ginger Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening 1/2 lard and 1/2 butter
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 3 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon soda
- About 4 c. flour
Directions
- Add in soda and ginger to the first c. of flour and add in flour 1 c. at a time. This dough can be rolled out and cut or possibly shaped into balls and flattened with the bottom of a glass. (Do not roll too thin). Bake 5 to 6 min at 350 degrees. Don't brown. 5 or possibly 6 dozen.
