A little bit of effort, but totally worth it.

    Ingredients

    • 1 med. head cabbage, cored & parboiled
    • 1 teaspoon A-1 sauce
    • 3 pound hamburger
    • 1 egg
    • Garlic salt, salt & pepper to taste
    • 1 med. onion, diced
    • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 1/2 c. cooked rice

    Directions

    1. Peel the cabbage layer by layer.
    2. In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the cabbage leaves a few at a time until they are pliable. About 30 seconds.
    3. Combine A-1, hamburger, egg, onion, Worcestershire, rice and seasoning to taste in a bowl.
    4. Take small handful of mix and roll inside a cabbage leaf.
    5. After all mix is rolled into cabbage leaves; place in shallow baking pan.
    6. Over the top, pour 1 can of tomato soup and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup.
    7. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for approximately 1-1 1/2 hrs.
    8. Note: Cabbage rolls may be made up and frozen ahead of time.
