    Glazed Pumpkin Scones

    Ingredients

    • 2 Cups all-purpose flour
    • 3/4 Cup sugar
    • 1 Stick unsalted butter
    • 1/2 Cup pumpkin puree
    • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
    • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 Teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/4 Cup fat free half & half
    • 1 Egg
    • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
    • 1/2 Cup powdered sugar
    • 1 Tablespoon milk
    • Dash of cinnamon

    Directions

    1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
    2. Cut in the butter using a food processor or pastry cutter until the mixture resembles course crumbs.
    3. In a separate bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, vanilla, egg and half & half.
    4. Add the wet ingredients into the butter/flour mixture and mix until incorporated.
    5. Spoon free-form scones onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
    6. When done, remove from the oven and cut out pumpkin shapes with a cutter while the scones are still warm. Allow to cool completely.
    7. Mix together the powdered sugar, milk and cinnamon to form the glaze and spoon over cooled scones.
