• Glazed Meat Balls

    • 1 pound grnd meat (beef or possibly turkey) seasoned with salt & pepper to taste
    • 1 jar currant jelly
    • 1 bottle chili sauce
    • 1 can tomato soup
    • 1 onion, minced
    • 1 healthy pinch garlic
    • 1 healthy pinch parsley flakes
    • 1 healthy pinch celery flakes (sm. healthy pinch, optional)


    1. Cook onions in small amount of shortening till soft, but not browned. Form grnd meat into patties, brown lightly in onion mix. Remove meat to hot platter. Add in currant jelly and tomato soup to onion mix, add in 1/3 soup can water and the seasonings. Cook till slightly thickened. Return meat patties to sauce and continue cooking till meat is completely done. Serve over white rice.
    2. HINT: Add in 1 1/2 teaspoon tarragon vinegar to about 3 c. white rice while cooking.
