Garlic Bread (Martha Stewart)
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. unsalted butter - (1 stick)
- 2 x garlic cloves very finely chopped
- 1/4 c. coarsely-minced flat-leaf parsley
- 1/4 tsp coarse salt or possibly to taste
- 1 x baguette (preferably sourdough)
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a small saucepan, heat butter over a low heat till foamy. Add in garlic and simmer one minute. Remove from heat and let steep for one minute. Add in parsley and salt and stir to combine.
- Slice bread lengthwise almost all the way though, leaving one side uncut. Open the baguette like a book and proportionately brush or possibly spoon the butter mix over the bread.
- Close baguette and slice bread diagonally into 2-inch pcs, leaving the bread still intact at the back of the loaf.
- Transfer bread to a baking sheet. Bake bread till heated through and crisp on the outside, about 10 min.
- This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
