Fruit Cocktail Cake And Glaze

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 1 (16 ounce) can fruit cocktail, undrained
  • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 c. minced nuts
  • 1/2 c. canned lowfat milk

Directions

  1. Beat egg whites till stiff. Put together dry ingredients, egg yolks and fruit cocktail. Beat well. Mix in egg whites. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 min in 9 x 12 inch greased pan.
  2. Put together all ingredients and bring to boil. Boil for 5 min, stirring regularly. Cut cake into squares and pour over hot cake.
