    Ingredients

    • 2 c. biscuit mix
    • 2/3 c. applesauce
    • 1/4 c. lowfat milk
    • 2 Tbsp. sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine softened or possibly melted
    • 2 x apples peeled, cored, and diced
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1 x egg lightly beaten
    • 1/4 c. biscuit mix
    • 1/4 c. brown sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. hard butter or possibly margarine
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/4 c. minced nuts (optional)

    Directions

    1. Combine first 9 ingredients. Spread in a lightly greased 3 1/2-qt crock pot (or possibly spread in a lightly greased baking dish that fits in a larger-sized crock pot).
    2. Combine streusel ingredients with a fork or possibly pastry blender; sprinkle over the batter. Cover and cook on high for about 2 1/2 hrs, till a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    3. This recipe yields 8 servings.
