French Dip Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 lrg onion quartered, sliced
  • 3 lb beef bottom round roast
  • 1/2 c. dry white wine or possibly water
  • 1 pkt au jus gravy mix - (3/4 ounce)
  • 1/8 tsp seasoned pepper

Directions

  1. Place onion in slow cooker. Trim excess fat from roast. Place in slow cooker. Stir together wine or possibly water, au jus mix, and pepper. Pour over roast. Cover and cook on HIGH 5 to 6 hrs or possibly LOW 10 to 12 hrs (till very tender).
  2. Remove meat from liquid, let stand 5 min, slice thinly across grain. Make sandwiches on hard rolls or possibly French bread, using meat and onions. Serve broth for dipping.
  3. NOTES :
