- 2 CUPS FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR
- 3/4 CUP BUTTER FLAVORED CRISCO,1-16 OZ CAN
- SOLID PACKED PUMPKIN, 4 EGGS, 1/4 CUP WATER
- 2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR,1 1/3 CUPS OATS(OLD
- FASHIONED) UNCOOKED 1/2 CUP CHOPPED NUTS,
- OR RAISINS, 4TSP BAKING POWDER, 1TBSP PUMPKIN
- PIE SPICE, 1 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA, 3/4 TSP SALT
- OPTIONAL
- GLAZE
- 1 CUP POWDERED SUGAR(10-X SUGAR) 4TBSP ORANGE
- JUICE 3/4 GRATED ORANGE PEEL
Directions
- HEAT OVEN TO 350* GREASE 10 INCH BUNDT PAN OR TUBE PAN
- BEAT SUGAR AND CRISCO UNTIL FLUFFY, MIX IN THE PUMPKIN, EGGS AND WATER, COMBINE THE
- REMAINING CAKE INGREDIENT MIX WELL GRADUALLY ADD TO PUMPKIN MIXTURE MIXING WELL SPREAD INTO PAN BAKE 60 TO 7O MINUTES . COOL 10 MINUTES REMOVE FROM THE
- PAN , AND COOL COMPLETELY ON A WIRE RACK AND DRIZZLE ICING OVER WHEN CAKE HAS COOLED COMPLETELY.
