  • Exotic Bean Hummus

    Ingredients

    • 2 c. Cooked white beans
    • 1 Tbsp. Tahini (sesame butter)
    • 1 Tbsp. Minced garlic
    • 3 Tbsp. Fresh lemon juice
    • 2 Tbsp. Minced parsley
    • 1 tsp Minced mint optional
    • 1 tsp Whole grain mustard
    • 1/4 tsp Warm pepper sesame oil or possibly to taste Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste

    Directions

    1. In a food processor or possibly blender add in all the ingredients except the sesame oil and salt and pepper and process till smooth. Add in the warm sesame oil and the salt and pepper to taste and combine with a couple of short bursts. Thin if you like with some of the bean cooking liquid, water or possibly buttermilk.
    2. Store covered in refrigerator for up to 5 days.
    3. This recipe yields about 2 c. of hummus.
