Easy Spicy Beans And Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 c. Brown rice (uncooked), Or possibly 4 C cooked
  • 2 x 15-ounce cans of any type of Beans
  • 1/2 c. Salsa
  • 1 x Clove garlic, chopped (or possibly 1 ts Chopped garlic-in-a-jar)
  • 1/2 lrg Red onion, minced
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 2 c. Tomato (ie spagetti) sauce
  • 10 dsh Tabasco sauce

Directions

  1. If using uncooked rice, start it cooking. Rinse canned beans thoroughly in a colander. In a large nonstick frying pan add in salsa, garlic, onions, and cumin. Saute/fry till onions are limp. Add in tomato sauce and tabasco sauce, and simmer.
  2. If using cooked rice, reheat it now.
  3. Five min before the rice is ready, stir the beans in gently and simmer till well heated.
  4. Serve beans over rice.
