- 1 (9 inch) pastry shell (I use a deep dish shell partially baked)
- 1 c. cooked sausage
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese
- 3 Large eggs
- 1 1/2 c. Half and Half or possibly lowfat milk (I use Half and Half)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon basil
- (Can use bacon and Swiss cheese for bacon quiche).
- Sprinkle ham and cheese in crust - beat Large eggs, lowfat milk, seasonings till mixed. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 or possibly 40 min till set.
