Like Hollandiase Sauce but have always been afraid to even try to make it? Here is an easy recipe that makes you look good and like you are a true Gourmet Chef!

    Ingredients

    • 2 egg yolks
    • 3 tablespoons lemon juice (do not use 'real lemon concentrate, it must be real lemon juice)
    • 1 stick real butter (not margarine)

    Directions

    1. Freeze the stick of butter for at least 15 minutes before starting sauce.
    2. Mix egg yolks and lemon juice together in a sauce pan over lowest heat possible... you do not want the sauce to boil... Stir until incorporated...
    3. Place the frozen stick of butter in the pan and let it melt slowly.. do not stir during this process...when butter has melted... stir to incorporate into the egg-lemon juice mixture... Sauce should be thick and creamy...
    4. Serve with vegetables or fish...
    5. Recipe can be doubled, however, let the first stick of butter melt and stir in before adding the second stick of butter...
