    Easy Canned Pie Filling Crisp

    Five minute prep for baked crisp that calls for ice cream or Cool Whip.

    Ingredients

    • 1 can your choice pie filling
    • topping:
    • 3/4 cup each: brown sugar, flour, rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup butter, cubed
    • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    • or 3/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

    Directions

    1. Heat oven to 350 F.
    2. To an 8x8 or 9x9 pan, add pie filling.
    3. Add all the topping ingredients in a bowl, working butter into the mix, forming crumbles.
    4. Sprinkle on top of filling, bake until golden brown, about 35-40 minutes.

        Hi,

        It is super easy; however, once it's covered for storage, the crisp top becomes less so.
        We try to eat it all the day it's made. Such a chore!
