  • Easy Apple Pecan Crisp

    Ingredients

    • 4 c. tart apples (equal to about 6 apples), peeled, sliced and sprinkled with lemon juice
    • 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed in c.
    • 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
    • 1/2 c. rolled oats
    • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1/2 c. butter, unsalted, or possibly if preferred, butter
    • 1/2 c. pecans, minced

    Directions

    1. Butter 8 inch square pan, or possibly 11 x 7 x 2 inch pan. Spread apple on bottom. Blend remaining ingredients till crumbly. Spread over apples and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 min, or possibly till apples are tender. Cold slightly on wire rack. Serve hot, or possibly at room temperature. Serve with a bit of ice cream or possibly whip cream, or possibly, for the purists, just plain hot and wonderful.
