Ingredients

  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1 ounce Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Mashed Potatoes
  • 1 3/4 c. Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking Pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/3 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 ounce Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. Boiling Water
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla

Directions

  1. Beat the egg till light. Beat in the sugar. Heat the chocolate and butter together. Add in to the egg mix. Stir in the mashed potatoes. Mix the flour, salt and baking pwdr together. Add in the lowfat milk to the egg mix, alternating with the flour mix. Refrigeratefor 1 hour. Roll out on a lightly floured board to a 3/8" thickness. Cut using a floured doughnut cutter. Fry till crusty brown (about 2 min). Drain. Prepare the frosting by melting the butter and chocolate together. Beat in the sugar, boiling water and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Coat the doughnuts with the frosting after they have cooled.
