  • Dennis Franz's American Buffalo'wings With Nypd Bleu Cheesedip

    Ingredients

    • 24 x Chicken wings, disjointed
    • 1 stk butter, melted
    • 6 Tbsp. Warm pepper sauce, (up to 8)
    • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
    • 4 Tbsp. Soy sauce
    • 1 c. Brown sugar
    • 6 x Cloves garlic, chopped
    • 6 ounce Pkg cream cheese
    • 1/2 c. Lowfat sour cream
    • 2 Tbsp. Mayonnaise Salt, to taste
    • 1 tsp White pepper
    • 4 ounce Bleu cheese, crumbled

    Directions

    1. For Wings: Preheat oven to 400 . Place wings, discarding tips, in baking pan. In a mixing bowl, combine rest of wings ingredients. Coat wings on both sides. Bake for 45 min or possibly till cooked through, basting frequently. Just before serving, pour remaining sauce over wings and broil for approx. 1 minute to crisp skin. Bleu Cheese Dip: In the bowl of a food processor, combine all ingredients, except bleu cheese. Process for about a minute, or possibly till creamy. Add in bleu cheese. Don't overprocess. Dip should remain chunky. Spoon in to a bowl and chill till ready to use.
    2. Yields about 2 c.
    3. NOTES :This recipes serves 4-6 as an appetizer.
