  • Deli Turkey Pot Pie

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb deli turkey slices, 1/2" thk diced
    • 1 can mixed vegetables - (15 ounce) liquid removed
    • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup (10 3/4 ounce)
    • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
    • 1/4 tsp onion pwdr
    • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
    • 1 pkt refrigerated pie crusts - (15 ounce) 2 crusts

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the pie crust, mix well.
    2. Unfold one pie crust and place in a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate, pressing the crust firmly into the plate. Spoon the turkey mix into the crust. Unfold the second pie crust and place over the turkey mix. Healthy pinch together and trim the edges to seal then flute, if you like. Using a sharp knife, cut four 1-inch slits in the top.
    3. Bake for 35 to 40 min, or possibly till heated through and the crust is golden brown. Allow to sit for 10 min before serving.
    4. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
