Deep Fried Spicy Asian Brussels Sprouts

I'm going on the record to say that these are the best brussels sprouts I've ever eaten! I can't explain how delicious they are. You just have to make them. Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs brussels sprouts. cut in 1/4's
- 2 green onion stalks, chopped
- 1/2 bunch cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1/3 cup cashews, chopped
- For the sauce you will need:
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp galangal, minced-you can substitute ginger
- 1-2 lime kaffir leaves, finely chopped
- 2-3 thai chili peppers, chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sherry wine vinegar
- 3 Tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp honey
Directions
- Heat oil to 350 degrees. Deep fry brussels sprouts in batches for a couple of minutes until golden brown. Add onions & cilantro to deep fryer the last minute with the last batch of brussels sprouts. Drain off oil. **be careful when frying, these babies pop**
- Meanwhile combine sauce ingredients together . Transfer brussels sprouts to a mixing bowl. Pour sauce over brussels sprouts and toss til evenly coated. Plate up and top with cashews. Adjust seasoning to taste.
