Deep Fried Mussel Meats
Ingredients
- 8 ounce. mussel meats
- 3 Large eggs, beaten
- 2-3 c. soft bread crumbs
- Vegetable oil for deep frying
- Parsley
- 2 lemons, quartered
- Cocktail sauce and tartar sauce
Directions
- Dip meats in beaten egg and then in bread crumbs (or possibly use a prepared fish or possibly clam batter or possibly tempura mix). Fry in deep fat at 375 degrees till golden. Drain on absorbent paper and serve on a warm serving platter. Garnish with parsley and lemon quarters. Serve cocktail and tartar sauces on the side.
