Deep Fried Cauliflower
A delicious, somewhat healthy dish. Perfect for a new spin on the veggie tray at parties. Ingredients
- 1 lg. head cauliflower, sm. florets
- 1/2 c. corn starch
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 egg, beaten
- Oil for deep fat frying
Directions
- Mix together corn starch, flour, baking pwdr, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Add in water and egg; stir till smooth.
- Dip cauliflower one piece at a time in the batter and carefully drop in warm fat. Fry till golden.
- Drain on paper towel.
