Ingredients

  • 1 x Onion -- chopped
  • 1 x Leek -- chopped
  • 1 x Red bell pepper -- chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Ginger -- pureed
  • 2 Tbsp. Garlic -- pureed
  • 1 x Orange juice -- plus zest
  • 2 Tbsp. Oil
  • 4 ounce Dry white wine
  • 4 ounce Hoisin sauce
  • 1 c. Water -- use more if needed
  • 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce Warm chili peppers -- flakes
  • 2 Tbsp. Cilantro -- chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Dry black beans -- Fermented
  • 1 Tbsp. Sesame oil

Directions

  1. Saute/fry the vegetables in the oil, then add in the remaining ingredients except the fresh herbs and the sesame oil. Simmer till friendly, then stir in the herbs and sesame oil.
  2. Serving Ideas : Use with halibut, salmon, clams, mussels, etc.
