Cubed Steak Bake

A great new way to eat steaks.

Ingredients

  • 4-6 cubed steaks
  • 3 tbsp. oil
  • 2 med. onions, sliced
  • 1 (10 ounce.) Packages frzn peas or corn (or both), thawed
  • 2 med. tomatoes, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry rosemary, crushed
  • 1/2 c. shredded American or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Brown steaks in oil in a hot skillet. Remove meat, reserve drippings. Cook onions in drippings until tender.
  2. Place steaks in baking dish.
  3. Combine peas or corn, tomatoes, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spoon on top of meat. Place onions on top.
  5. Stop here and chill for 24 hrs.
  6. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 35-45 min (50 min if cold).
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top after uncovering.
