Crunchy Pea Soup
Ingredients
- Half of a 24 ounce. pkg. frzn stew vegetables
- 1 1/4 c. boiling salted water
- 1 can condensed split pea with ham and bacon soup
- 1 c. cubed cooked ham
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 c. crunchy bean sprouts
Directions
- In large saucepan, cook vegetables, covered, in the boiling water till tender, about 20 min. Remove potatoes and any other large vegetables, cut up and return to pan. Stir in split pea soup, ham and lowfat milk. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and add in sprouts. Simmer 3 min. Garnish with additional sprouts if you like. Serves 6.
