Crunchy Honey Wheat Bread
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. hot water (110 degrees)
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 c. bread flour
- 1 1/2 c. whole-wheat flour
- 3 tsp vital wheat gluten
- 1/2 c. nut-like cereal nuggets or possibly granola
Directions
- Place ingredients in bread machine pan in the order suggested by the machine's manufacturer. Select whole wheat or possibly dough cycle on bread machine. Start.
- To bake bread in oven: Select dough or possibly manual cycle. Once cycle is complete, shape dough and place in a greased loaf pan. Allow to rise in a hot spot till doubled in size. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 35 to 45 min or possibly till a thermometer inserted in the center of the loaf reads 200 degrees.
- This recipe yields a 1 1/2 lb. loaf.
- Yield: 1 loaf
