• Crockpot Sugared Pecans And Walnuts

    • 1 lb pecans or possibly walnut pcs
    • 1/2 c. unsalted butter - melted
    • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    • 1/4 tsp grnd allspice
    • 1/8 tsp grnd cloves
    • 1 1/2 tsp grnd cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp grnd ginger


    1. Preheat crockpot on high for 15 min.
    2. First, in preheated crockpot stir the walnuts (or possibly pecans) and butter till mixed well. Add in the powdered sugar, stirring to coat proportionately. Cover and slow-cook on HIGH for 15 min.
    3. Reduce the heat to LOW and slow cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, till the nuts are coated with a crisp glaze (should be about 2 hrs).
    4. Transfer the nuts to a bowl. In another small bowl, combine the spices and sift them over the nuts, stirring to coat proportionately. Let cold before serving.
