  • Crockpot Beef Burgundy

    Ingredients

    • 2 slc bacon minced
    • 2 lb beef sirloin tips or possibly round steak cut into 1" cubes
    • 1/4 c. flour
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
    • 1/4 tsp dry marjoram
    • 1/4 tsp dry thyme
    • 1/4 tsp pepper
    • 1 x clove garlic chopped
    • 1 tsp beef bouillon granules
    • 1 c. dry red wine preferably Burgundy
    • 1/4 lb fresh mushrooms sliced
    • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch

    Directions

    1. In skillet, cook bacon several min. Remove and set aside. Coat beef with flour and brown on all sides in bacon mix. Combine steak, bacon drippings, cooked bacon, seasonings, bouillon, and wine in pot. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hrs. Turn on high. Add in mushrooms; cook on high 15 min. To thicken sauce, add in cornstarch (dissolved in 2 Tbsp. cool water) with mushrooms.
