Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. cooked Texmati Brown Rice
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 3/4 c. minced onion
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 4 c. half-and-half
  • 3 c. chicken broth
  • 2 c. diced cooked chicken
  • 2 c. frzn minced broccoli thawed
  • 1/2 tsp dry rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp dry thyme
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper

Directions

  1. Saute/fry mushrooms in butter till tender; add in flour and stir till smooth. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly.
  2. Gradually add in half-and-half and chicken broth; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till thick and bubbly. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 10 min, stirring occasionally.
  3. This recipe yields 6 servings.
