  • Cranberry Orange Sauce

    Another, delicious, variation of cranberry sauce.

    Ingredients

    • 1 3/4 cups water
    • 2 1/4 cups sugar
    • 3/4 cup orange juice
    • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    • 680g cranberries, fresh or frozen
    • 2 Tbsp. orange zest
    • 2 Tbsp. lemon zest
    • salt, just a pinch

    Directions

    1. Bring water, sugar, orange juice and lemon juice to the boil.
    2. Add cranberries, zests, and salt; reduce heat and simmer until mixture is thick enough to mound on a spoon. The original recipe called for this to simmer for about 30 minutes, but I found that because of all the liquid, it actually takes closer to an hour to reduce.
    3. That's quite all right, as the finished product is so worth it!
