Cranberry Apple Sauce

- 2 apples, peeled, cored and cut into chunks
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. orange zest
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 300g pkg. fresh or frozen cranberries
- salt, just a pinch
Directions
- In a saucepan, bring sugar, orange zest, and orange juice to the boil. Add apples, cranberries and salt; reduce heat and simmer until thick enough to mound on a spoon, about 30 minutes. The sauce will also thicken and set up as it cools.
- Makes about 3 cups.
