I'm putting the sauce we used here so you can use it if you like, or use a dipping sauce you already have either way the crab cakes are great!!! Creamy caper dill sauce 3/4 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 tsp lemon zest 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice 1 tbsp drain capers 2 tsp chopped fresh dill 1/4 dijon mustard 1/4 salt 1/4 pepper Stir together and chill 3 hours Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh lump crabmeat
- 1/2 cup minced green onion
- 1/2 minced red bell pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 italian bread crumb
- 1 lg egg lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- Dash worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
Directions
- flake crabmeat being careful not to break lumps.
- Saute onion and green pepper in olive oil
- Stir together green onion mixture, italian bread crumbs, beaten egg, mayonnaise,lemon juice, salt and pepper, worcestershire.
- pack in patties.
- Chill for 2 to 8 hours
- to fry:
- use 2 tbsp butter, fry 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown
