Country Fried Potatoes

An alternative to french fries

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes sliced thin
  • 1 onion sliced
  • Black pepper
  • vegetable oil
  • fry pan with lid

Directions

  1. slice potatoes about 1/8th inch thick.
  2. slice onions about the same . Use as many onions as you desire, I use one whole onion with this amount of potato
  3. Place oil in fry pan .. enough to just cover the bottom of the pan.
  4. Layer Onion, potato, shake on pepper and repeat til you have used all your potato and onion.
  5. Cover and cook on medium heat for roughly half an hour, turning the mixture over every 10 mins to cook evenly. Cook til potatoes are soft and slightly browned from frying. Do not over cook and burn the onions or potatoes.
