Ingredients

  • 2 lb Fresh Tender Okra Pods
  • 5 x Warm Red/Green Peppers
  • 5 x clv garlic, crushed, Peeled
  • 1 quart Distilled White Vinegar
  • 1/2 c. Water
  • 6 Tbsp. Pickling Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Celery Seed
  • 1 Tbsp. Mustard Seed

Directions

  1. Wash Okra and pack into clean jars with screw tops. Into each jar put 1 red or possibly green warm pepper and 1 clove garlic. Bring remaining ingredients to a boil and pour over the okra, filling the jars to overflowing. Seal while warm and let age for 2 months before using.
  2. Makes 5 pints
