Classic fruit salad is an easy recipe you will make over and over again. Classic fruit salad is an old fashioned recipe,  sometimes called five cup salad, that can be made using various fruits but I always add miniature marshmallows, coconut, and sour cream. A great salad to accompany any holiday meal or to serve anytime! My family loves this one and I make it a lot during Christmas and Thanksgiving.  This salad is wonderful to take to any gathering or to add to any buffet.  It will keep for several days refrigerated and you could double the recipe. Classic fruit salad is an old fashioned favorite! 1 cup chunk pineapple, drained 1 cup mandarin oranges, drained 1 cup sour cream 1 cup miniature marshmallows 1 cup shredded coconut Mix together and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving. Note: Can be made with fresh or canned fruit.  I also use bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raisins, nuts and any other fruit I might have available. You can add more or less fruit. This five cup salad is a very versatile recipe and will keep several days refrigerated.
