Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- Filling:
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- Biscuit:
- 2 cups flour
- 3 TBSP sugar
- 1 TBSP baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup milk
- Icing:
- 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
- milk or cream
Directions
- Filling:
- Cream butter, brown sugar and cinnamon together.
- Set Aside
- Biscuit:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in mixer.
- Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Whisk egg and milk together.
- Add all at once to the dry ingredients and mix briefly to combine.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface and roll out into a 9-10 inch square.
- Spread filling over dough.
- Roll up like a jelly roll.
- Cut into 12 slices.
- Arrange rolls in a greased 9 inch square baking pan.
- Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.
- Remove from pan.
- Cool.
- Icing:
- Combine confectioners sugar. and enough milk to make a thin glaze.
- Drizzle over the rolls.
- Arrange rolls
