    Ingredients

    • 1 quart Water
    • 2 lb Grnd beef
    • 4 Tbsp. Chili pwdr
    • 2 med Onions, grated
    • 2 Tbsp. Vinegar
    • 16 ounce Tomato sauce
    • 1 lrg Bay leaf
    • 5 whl Allspice
    • 5 whl cloves
    • 1/2 tsp Red pepper
    • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp Grnd cumin seeds
    • 1/2 ounce Bitter chocolate
    • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 4 x Garlic cloves
    • 1 tsp Cinnamon

    Directions

    1. Add in grnd beef to water in 4 qt pot; stir till beef separates to fine texture. Boil slowly for 30 min. Add in all remaining ingredients; stir to blend. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered about 3 hrs. For last hour the pot may be covered if you like consistency has been reached.
    2. Chili could be refrigerated over night so which the fat can be lifted from top before reheating and serving. Serve over cooked spaghetti, top with minced onions, shredded cheddar cheese (either or possibly both are optional as are the oyster crackers).
