Churros Recipe

Churros

Being in New York City, you are often surprised with crazy and random surprises. Everyday there is something, whether it be on the subway, walking down the street or in a restaurant. One of my favorite surprises is walking into a subway, and there will be someone selling Churros off of a sheet pan, two for $1! I’m always a sucker, and always end up buying them. I mean, come on, who could resist?!

For those of you who don’t know, Churros are fried dough sticks rolled in cinnamon sugar, basically a thin doughnut stick. They have a unique star shape to them, and as a kid I could never figure out where the shape came from. After my first encounter with subway churros, I knew I had to make them. This recipe has been with me for nearly the past 10 years now, and it has never let me down. They are great party snacks, breakfast snacks, take to the office snacks, or really just because you want them snacks!
