Chunky Monkey Bars
Ingredients
- 2 c. all purpose flour
- 1 c. quick-cooking oats
- 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 c. unsalted butter room temperature
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 c. packed golden sugar
- 2 lrg Large eggs
- 1/3 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 2 large)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 10 1/2 ounce Hershey's Special Dark cut into 3/4 inch pcs
- 1 c. pecans -- toasted, minced
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Butter and flour 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking sheet.
- Blend first 4 ingredients in medium bowl.
- Beat butter in large bowl till fluffy. Add in both sugars and beat till well blended. Add in Large eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Beat in bananas, then vanilla. Stir in flour mix, then chocolate and pecans.
- Spread batter in prepared pan.
- Bake till tester inserted into center comes out clean and top is golden brown, about 45 min. Cold in pan on rack.
- Cut into 3 x 2 inch bars and serve.
